Tips on Preparing Your Unit For a Showing

A living room with two couches , a coffee table , and two windows.

Even though it is the time in your life to move out of your apartment, there are people who are just beginning to look into moving in. Nothing is more exciting than finding an apartment that you love and going inside to see it in person to imagine what it would be like to live in it. It is a good idea to have respect for those wanting to move in and showing them the beauty of the unit you currently live in.

  1. Keep The Unit Tidy

We know showings aren't always at the most convenient of times in your life, but making sure to tidy up your unit when you get a notice for a showing is a good idea. Not saying you have to be pristine, but things like picking things up off the floor or cleaning off the counter/table in your kitchen, allows the unit to be viewed at its full potential, allowing the people coming in for a showing to really see what they are getting when moving in.

  2. Don't Have A Big Gathering

W e understand you cant cancel gatherings that have been planned days before but if possible don't invite over all your friends when showings are taking place. Having the unit be busy and full when trying to tour a unit can be awkward and not allow the people checking out the unit be comfortable to ask or say everything they want.

  3. Don't Have Clutter Covering Furniture In Furnished Units

We have multiple furnished properties that we offer at Wyse Properties, so it is very important that people can see the furniture being displayed in the unit. Please remove as much clutter as possible to make the furniture viewable. We always want to be able to display everything the apartment has to offer.
